Cambridge Online (a vibrant charity, taking on the challenge of digital skills for all) is pleased to announce our partnership with Laptops4Learning  so that we can distribute devices to those most in need.

Laptops4Learning’s solution “Sustainable Tech 4 Social Good” has since 2020 refurbished and distributed 4300+ devices to charities and councils supporting the digitally excluded, saving 7320kgs of e-waste from landfill.

Since March 2021, Cambridge Online has received and distributed 89 laptops and 10 tablets for social good from Laptops4Learning.

Cambridge Online is a small charity, helping people get online and teaching them digital skills and providing a range of courses. We would be pleased to welcome any new clients who need any digital help or support (all new customers are able to have a free 30min taster session). We host free drop-in sessions (for those living in Cambridge City) at the Hester Adrian Centre (Hawthorne Way, Cambridge, CB4 1AX) where you can use our desktop computers or bring your own devices if you would like any assistance in using them or have any specific queries. We also have weekly community sessions at various locations around the city (Brownsfield in Chesterton and The Hub, Barnwell Road in Abbey) and unmanned internet kiosks a Ditchburn Place and Talbot House.

If (as an individual or family) you need a device, then we also provide refurbished devices (such as tablets, laptops and smartphones) and data (SIM cards) to those in need – link. We are also able to offer equipment loans to any organisations requiring devices for digital inclusion activities. As we have plenty of equipment requests, we are always keen to hear from any organisations who may have spare equipment that we can refurbish; again, please do get in touch with us if you have anything to donate.

Please do contact us via phone: 01223 300407 or email: [email protected] and we look forward to hearing from you.
